Engraving station
Installation developed for the automated engraving of VIN codes on vehicle chassis.
The system adapts to the different models currently in production, automatically adjusting its position according to the vehicle arriving at the station.
An automated system attaches to the vehicle and operates in conjunction with the assembly line. Mounted on an XY coordinate system that intercepts the vehicle’s path, the system pneumatically attaches to the frame and then moves with the assembly line. After engraving the VIN code using a scribing unit, the system retracts and returns to its initial position to attach to the next vehicle on the production line.
VIN ENGRAVING UNIT
XYZ grating system, motorized tool with motors and spindles in the XY axis, pneumatic Z-axis system.

COUPLING SYSTEM
Pneumatic system that couples to the vehicle frame rail, securing to the RPS (Rear Positioning System).
– Positioners in Durogliss for pre-centering.
– Flange with pneumatic RPS positioner.
– Safety sensor with distance control.
Improved Ergonomics, since previously the entire system was handled by an operator who had to insert the system and attach it to the vehicle.
Reduction of non-conformities, since the approach movement of the system is automatic and always the same, collisions or misuses that the operator could make manually are avoided.
Productivity improvement, since the entire process is carried out automatically and without stopping the production line.
