Fran Ollacarizqueta (34), Laura Paz (34), Xabier Arroyo (44) and Victor Iribarren (18) are the latest internship additions who have joined the Gurpea team, through the ALEA METAL program, a training program in which 6 Navarrese SMEs from the metal sector (stamping, die-making and industrial maintenance) participate, and 19 unemployed people who have already started the 300 hours of theoretical-practical training offered by the project.

Our new intern colleagues present heterogeneous professional profiles, but they complement each other perfectly and have many things in common: clear objectives, motivation, enthusiasm, learning capacity and teamwork.

XABIER ARROYO
Age: 44 years old.
Training: Metal carpentry welding.
Previous experience: more than 15 years of work experience, mainly in the metal industry (carpentry, construction, mechanics, industrial assembly…)
Objective: Specialized training and job stability.
How do you rate your experience at Gurpea? Very positively, for the focus on professional profile, varied day-to-day tasks, and orderly way of working.

LAURA PAZ
Age: 34 years old.
Training: Degree in Graphic Design and subsequent training focused on the industrial world (forklift, overhead crane..)
Previous experience: I started my professional career in kitchens and multiple services of the Government of Navarra and Hospitals, my last experience being as an administrative assistant in a Health Center in Pamplona.
Objective: Specific technical training and experience to refocus my professional life towards the industrial world, in search of new job opportunities.
How do you rate your experience at Gurpea? For me it represents an opportunity to train in precision and manual work, which I’m good at and enjoy. I would summarize the experience as “good training” and “great welcome” from the company.

FRAN OLLACARIZQUETA
Age: 34 years old.
Training: Automotive degree (Donapea).
Previous experience: Control room operator, and subsequently focused on working as a hydraulic mechanic for 10 years.
Objective: Continue acquiring technical knowledge and specific sector training.
How do you rate your experience at Gurpea? After several years of work experience in the industry, what I value most about this experience with Gurpea is the possibility it offers me to continue evolving and improving professionally.

VICTOR IRIBARREN
Age: 18 years old.
Training: Intermediate Level Vocational Training in Electromechanical Maintenance.
Previous experience: Gurpea is my first professional experience.
Objective: Learning, practical training and first contact with the working world.
How do you rate your experience at Gurpea? So far, I would highlight the variety of work, the different tools I’m learning to handle, the introduction to blueprint reading and teamwork. There’s a good “vibe” – the four of us have meshed well and complement each other very well.
