Gurpea, a Navarre-based company specializing in the maintenance, improvement, and optimization of industrial processes through various automation and mechatronics tools, achieved a turnover of 20 million euros in the last fiscal year. “This figure represents a 33% growth in our business volume,” confirmed Antxón Errea, one of the company’s founders along with Abel Moreno. Moreno added that this milestone comes after the firm also increased its revenue by another 25% in 2021 to reach 15 million euros.

Together with Tetrace, also based in Navarre, Gurpea plans to establish a new delegation in Mexico dedicated to industrial maintenance and automation engineering. These data were part of their speeches during the inauguration of the company’s new facilities, which occupy an area of 3,000 square meters in the Comarca II industrial park and where, incidentally, it already has another production center. The new factory has specifically meant an expansion of its work area by 120% by providing a large workshop area and another for administration and technical office work.

The President of Navarre, María Chivite, participated in its launch, congratulating the company’s founding partners by defending that

to lead a project like Gurpea’s, it is necessary to have vision.” “In companies that grow at the rate that this one does, there must be clear leadership, but also enormous involvement from all the staff

In her description of the company’s current situation, the president explained that today it is “a leading company in the industrial sector, with a portfolio of clients that includes the main names in the Navarre economy, nearly 300 jobs, a subsidiary in Mexico, and even annual growth figures of 20%.

She also expressed her gratitude that companies like Gurpea force her Administration to “work with the tension of being up to the standards of an industrial sector that demands as much professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness as it offers,” and pointed out a common challenge for whose achievement Gurpea is an active part: the digitalization of industry.

We are taking decisive steps, but we will have to go deeper, especially among small and medium-sized companies. Hopefully, Gurpea will continue to collaborate in the necessary reconversion of our industry to make it more digital and sustainable, she said.

The founders of Gurpea confirmed, on the other hand, that the company invested 2.5 million euros in 2022 to establish its growth. And, with a view to 2023, they plan to increase their turnover by 25% to reach 25 million euros. A new success that, according to them, will be accompanied by the hiring of more staff. In this way, they hope to go from the current 250 employees to nearly 300 by the end of the year.

NEW DELEGATION IN MEXICO

Finally, Errea and Moreno elaborated on the firm’s new project to launch a new delegation in Mexico, dedicated to industrial maintenance and automation engineering. This is an initiative for which they have Tetrace, also based in Navarre, as an associate and which will also include a repair shop for wind turbine components.

Thanks to this new delegation, Gurpea will be able to continue with the internationalization policy that began in 2021 and that, since then, has allowed it to work with clients from the United States, Mexico itself, Poland, Germany, and Australia, among others.

For its part, in Spain it has a wide portfolio of clients, including companies such as Volkswagen, Laboratorios Cinfa, MTorres, Mapsa, SMP Automotive, Faurecia, Seat, Mercedes, General Mills, TI Automotive, Monbake, Liebherr, ADG, Agrozumos, Solidus Solutions, Dana Automoción, Schneider Electric, Arcelor, Bellota, Rockwool, Fagor Ederlan, Arkal, Replasa, Salinas de Navarra, Dicona, Hydro, ITP Aero, Magnesitas de Navarra and Grupo ZF.
