Summer 2025 has once again confirmed the strategic role of industrial maintenance in anticipating incidents and ensuring the continuity of production processes.

“With more than 40,000 hours of work carried out between July and August, our team has combined preventive planning, corrective actions and the ability to react to emergencies, to help the Navarrese industry reduce unscheduled stoppages and guarantee the continuity of its production processes,” explains Álvaro Pajares, Project Manager of the industrial maintenance division of Gurpea.

Many companies take advantage of their plants’ maintenance shutdowns to carry out overhaul and improvement projects, while others experience peak activity periods that demand maximum availability of their production lines. In our case, Gurpea’s industrial maintenance division performed various maintenance interventions between June and August, totaling more than 40,000 work hours.

Key industrial maintenance activities of summer 2025

  • Preventive maintenance on production lines

Preventive maintenance has been a central focus of our work. Over the past few months, we have worked on more than 15 production lines in sectors such as automotive, food, and energy, applying thermography techniques, shaft alignment using laser measurement, and predictive maintenance. Thanks to this planning, our clients have reduced unscheduled downtime by approximately 20% and improved equipment efficiency by 10%, thus avoiding costs associated with critical failures.

  • Corrective maintenance projects and emergency services

Summer has also tested our ability to react to unexpected incidents. Our team has handled several emergency calls, with an average resolution time of 24 hours, which has minimized the impact of breakdowns on production.

One case worth highlighting was the urgent replacement of a critical component on a food industry client’s processing line. The intervention, carried out in less than 24 hours, allowed for the immediate restoration of production and ensured its optimal operation,” states Borja Romo, sales engineer for Gurpea’s industrial maintenance division.

  • Innovation applied to industrial maintenance

Technological innovation has been seamlessly integrated into the work carried out this summer. The use of digital platforms and monitoring systems has facilitated more precise tracking and generated real-time reports, improving the traceability of each intervention.

Supporting Navarre’s Industry towards success

Summer 2025 has once again demonstrated that industrial maintenance is a strategic investment for ensuring productivity and safety. With over 40,000 hours of work completed and various interventions carried out, the Gurpea team has supported Navarre’s industry during one of the most demanding periods of the year.

The lessons learned this summer strengthen our ability to face the coming months with greater experience, organization and technological tools, always at the service of the continuity of our clients’ production processes.
